This is a belated post on a wedding dinner I had at Casuarina Hotel, Ipoh in February this year. It was the wedding of my cousin brother's son....Boo Seng and his lovely bride...Elizabeth. It is on this day that I get to meet some relatives that I have not seen in many years......here are some pics of the typical Chinese wedding feast.............
Four Hot and Cold Combination.........
Crabmeat, Dried Scallop with Fish Lips Soup.........Roasted Crispy Chicken................
Braised Mushroom and Gluten with Broccoli..............
There are another 2 dishes of.....a Steamed Rice in Lotus Leaf and a dessert dish.....which my camera girl forgot to take........anyway thanks for the lovely pic...Iris.
An 8 course dinner like this will definitely makes every hungry guests going home satisfied and fulled on their stomach....not like those fine dining food..........

Looks like Chinese dinner at everywhere is also the same. Those dishes look like the one we have in Miri here. hehe.
kok - Oh..yeah...chinese feast must have chicken, fish, prawns, sharkfin or scallop soup, rice, veges, cold plates of few varieties and ended it with something sweet....therefore the similarities...

joyce - the first dish is also my favorite...in my hometown..the first dish has more than 4 varieties of food...(8)all very nice and we were almost half full after picking at each of the different mostly meat variety in it.
beng beng - wow BB...you're a big eater..? Still would be hungry after this feast...or is it the fine dining...
Want to eat big big feast..must come to my hometown in Ayer Tawar...near Sitiawan...you still get to 'ta pau'(take away) goodies after the wedding or birthday dinner. Plastic bags are provided...some people take back to cook 'chai boey'......so no wasted food *wink*.
