A Treat To Fine Dining Next....!

My next gift for the day after my spa session was a treat to dinner at a fine dining restaurant..by my son R. Son H do not want to be left out so he chip in some of his pocket money too. I felt a bit guilty of never taking them to a fine dining restaurant before and here they are giving me some expensive treat out of their own pockets...here are some pics of the food we had........

Vegetable soup of the day...............

Pan-fried sea bass in with some vege and mash potatoes.....

Sirloin steak......with jacket potatoes.........

Grilled chicken ...............

Our desserts....panacotta in a teeny weeny ramekin......just 2 tablespoon to finish up.........

Jellies in teeny weeny cups..........

Small biteful of cheesecake and tartlets...........

My boys were not too happy with the food served.....tastewise it was quite okay......but if you just look at the above pics.....you will notice that all the servings portions are much too small to feel even half the stomach of my two boys...and son H could even do better with the presentation...the restaurant looks classy from the outside and they should do justice to the food served...so much for fine dining...or is it due to the rising cost in food prices lately...?

Anyway happy mum was not too bother with the small portions and presentation because she is having a good time eating at a cozy restaurant with her love ones without having to foot the bill.......

sweetjasmine,
Fine dining is like that one leh. It doesn't mean to make you full. Just "fine" for your stomach. haha!

Looking at the food served, aiyo, I bet your sons can cook themselves for you. Maybe next year round, they'll decorate your house and then cook themselves. :P

kok - Hi, Kok...guess you r right....just'fine' for the stomach....never thought about it though....

re:son H cooking for me....his kor kor was questioning his ti ti..why he never cook for his dear mum ...since the food is not anywhere better than his....ha..ha..

Anyway I told them it's the thoughts and gathering that counts....not the food....
Don't know waht they had for me next year....Cheers.

What sweet sons you have dear Sweet Jasmine to give you such a lovely treat. For the boys, American style is probably more their cup of tea as opposed to fine dining! BTW, the veg soup looks a lot like the roasted pumpkin soup my mum made for her friends. Will ask her to post the recipe in case you want to try it out!
